Role Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and well-networked Training and Placement Officer to bridge the gap between academia and the corporate sector. The ideal candidate will spearhead our placement initiatives, build lasting industry relationships, and ensure our Engineering and Arts & Science students are thoroughly prepared to enter the modern workforce.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Relations & Placements
- Industry Networking: Build and maintain strategic partnerships, professional networks, and Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with corporate leaders, firms, and industry organizations.
- Drive Recruitment: Organize and execute comprehensive campus interviews, pre-placement talks, and recruitment events for both internships and final placements.
- Market Intelligence: Gather market trends and employer feedback to advise academic departments on necessary curriculum updates and industry demands.
Student Training & Development
- Job Readiness: Coordinate and oversee holistic student development programs, including soft skills training, mock interviews, resume-writing workshops, and aptitude tests.
- Direct Instruction: Personally conduct targeted training sessions to elevate students' professional communication, confidence, and interview preparedness.
Data Management & Tracking
- Profile Management: Build and meticulously maintain updated records and profiles of student achievements, technical skill sets, and academic progress.
- Placement Tracking: Monitor and report on real-time student placement status, internship conversions, and alumni career trajectories.
Institutional Promotion & Advisory
- Promotional Activities: Actively participate in institutional branding and promotional activities to elevate the visibility of VISAT Group of Institutions.
- Course Advisory: Advise prospective students on available courses and highlight the career trajectories associated with our Engineering and Arts & Science programs to boost admissions.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven track record (minimum 3–5 years) in campus placements, corporate relations, HR recruitment, or university training.
- Industry Network: Existing connections with HR professionals, recruiters, and corporate leaders, particularly in the tech, engineering, and business sectors.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Mentorship: A genuine passion for student development and the ability to motivate and guide young professionals.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Elanji, Kochi, Kerala: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
