Job Title: OT Staff (Operation Theatre Technician/Assistant)
Job Summary
QHT Clinic is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented OT Staff member to assist in the smooth functioning of the Operation Theatre. The candidate will be responsible for preparing the OT before procedures, maintaining sterility, assisting doctors during treatments and surgeries, and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.
Key ResponsibilitiesPre-Procedure Responsibilities
- Prepare and sterilize the Operation Theatre before procedures.
- Ensure all surgical instruments, consumables, and equipment are available and functioning properly.
- Assist in patient preparation and positioning as directed by the treating doctor.
- Verify patient details and procedure requirements before treatment.
During Procedure
- Assist doctors and surgeons during procedures.
- Maintain strict aseptic and infection-control protocols.
- Handle, pass, and account for surgical instruments and materials.
- Monitor OT supplies and ensure uninterrupted procedure flow.
Post-Procedure Responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect OT equipment and work areas after procedures.
- Ensure proper disposal of biomedical waste as per applicable guidelines.
- Replenish OT supplies and prepare the theatre for subsequent procedures.
- Maintain accurate records related to OT activities and consumables used.
Equipment & Inventory Management
- Maintain OT equipment and report any malfunction immediately.
- Monitor stock levels of medicines, consumables, and surgical supplies.
- Coordinate with administration for timely procurement of required items.
Patient Care & Safety
- Ensure patient comfort and safety before, during, and after procedures.
- Assist in shifting patients to and from the OT.
- Follow all safety, hygiene, and infection-control standards.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma/B.Sc. in Operation Theatre Technology (OTT) or related healthcare field.
- Relevant certification in OT Technology preferred.
- Freshers may apply; experienced candidates will be preferred.
Experience
- 0–3 years of experience in an Operation Theatre setting.
- Experience in dermatology, cosmetology, plastic surgery, or day-care procedures will be an added advantage.
Skills Required
- Knowledge of OT protocols and sterilization procedures.
- Understanding of infection-control practices.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and patient-centric approach.
Working Hours
As per clinic operational requirements, including rotational shifts and extended hours during procedures, if required.
Compensation
Salary and benefits will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and clinic policies.
Pay: ₹10,622.79 - ₹17,000.00 per month
