As part of our expansion journey, we are seeking a results-driven Zonal Manager to oversee divisional performance, drive strategic execution, and ensure operational excellence across multiple regions.
Role Overview:
This is a senior leadership role focused on managing and supporting multiple divisions under a defined zone. The Zonal Manager will be responsible for supervising Divisional Managers, aligning regional goals with organizational strategy, and ensuring that all branches meet key performance indicators related to productivity, collections, compliance, and team development. The role demands strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of field operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Zonal Performance Management
- Lead and monitor the performance of all divisions within the zone.
- Ensure divisional and branch-level productivity targets are consistently met or exceeded.
- Target Setting & Monitoring
- Set realistic and challenging monthly targets for Divisions, Branches, and Field Officers (FOs).
- Regularly review performance against targets and implement corrective measures as needed.
- Strategic Oversight
- Translate organizational goals into actionable strategies at the zonal and divisional levels.
- Identify growth opportunities and implement initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
- Team Leadership & Development
- Manage and mentor Divisional Managers, ensuring effective team leadership at all levels.
- Drive a performance-oriented culture and support capacity-building across the zone.
- Collections & Disbursements Oversight
- Ensure collections across divisions are timely and accurate, maintaining a zero-overdue target.
- Monitor and guide divisions in achieving monthly disbursement goals.
- Risk Management & Compliance
- Ensure 100% compliance with internal policies and external regulations across all branches.
- Review and act upon internal audit findings, reducing compliance gaps proactively.
- Field Execution & Mobile Receipting
- Oversee the effective use of mobile receipting systems across all divisions.
- Provide support and troubleshoot escalated issues from field operations.
- Branch Visit Protocols
- Ensure Divisional Managers follow visit protocols and take corrective action on issues found at branches or centers.
- Personally conduct periodic field visits and spot audits.
- Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare and submit timely BC reports with accurate operational data and insights.
- Report directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Head of MRC (Monitoring & Risk Control).
- Meeting Coordination
- Organize and lead regular review meetings with Divisional Managers and Area Managers.
- Ensure alignment of zonal performance with organizational targets through structured communication and follow-up.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 8–10 years of experience as a Zonal Manager or Divisional Manager in microfinance
- Education: Any Degree / Masters
- Age Limit: Up to 48 years.
