- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and condition, and report any changes to the doctor or senior medical staff.
- Administer medications, injections, and treatments as prescribed.
- Assist doctors during examinations, procedures, and surgeries when required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Ensure proper infection control practices and maintain hygiene standards in the ward.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, medications, and post-discharge care.
- Coordinate with other departments (pharmacy, lab, reception, etc.) for smooth patient care.
- Handle medical equipment safely and ensure proper maintenance.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and provide first aid or life support when necessary.
- Follow hospital policies, protocols, and ethical standards at all times.
- Support administrative tasks such as patient admission, discharge, and transfer processes.
- Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) or B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution
- Valid nursing registration with State Nursing Council
- Minimum 1–3 years of clinical experience (freshers can also be considered, if applicable)
- Basic knowledge of patient care, medication administration, and nursing procedures
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in shifts, including night duties
- Basic computer knowledge for maintaining patient records
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is an added advantage
