Job Summary
Vibrant Construction Equipment’s Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to ensure the highest quality standards in the manufacturing of construction equipment such as Batching Plants, Asphalt Plants, WMM Plants, and related components. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing quality control procedures, conducting inspections, identifying process improvements, and ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections of fabricated, machined, and assembled components.
- Verify product quality against engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Prepare inspection reports, quality documentation, and maintain inspection records.
- Identify quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Monitor welding, fabrication, machining, painting, and assembly processes for quality compliance.
- Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Design, and Stores departments to resolve quality-related issues.
- Perform supplier quality inspections and support vendor development activities.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements.
- Conduct internal quality audits and support external audits.
- Monitor customer complaints and warranty issues and ensure timely closure.
- Ensure calibration of measuring instruments and maintain calibration records.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve productivity.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering.
- Experience: 0–2 years in Quality Engineering/Quality Control in manufacturing, fabrication, heavy engineering, or construction equipment industry.
- Freshers with excellent academic performance may be considered for Junior Quality Engineer roles.
Technical Skills
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of welding inspection and fabrication quality standards.
- Hands-on experience with measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, Dial Gauge, and Measuring Tape.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
- Familiarity with quality tools such as:
- 7 QC Tools
- 5 Why Analysis
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and quality documentation.
