The Role-
As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will be the first point of contact in BotPenguin's sales engine — responsible for both inbound lead qualification and outbound prospecting. You will identify, engage, qualify, and nurture prospects through the early stages of the sales funnel, ultimately scheduling and confirming high-quality product demos for the Account Executive team.
This is a high-impact, target-driven role suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced SaaS sales environment and takes ownership of pipeline generation from day one.
What You Will Be Doing-
- Research and identify potential customers across target industries, geographies, and company profiles.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified prospects through channels such as LinkedIn, email sequences, and cold calling.
- Craft personalised outreach messages that speak to prospect pain points and relevant BotPenguin use cases.
- Engage promptly with inbound leads and initiate discovery conversations to understand their requirements.
- Identify customer pain points, use cases, and business challenges to assess product fit.
- Provide a compelling high-level overview of BotPenguin and its value proposition.
- Qualify both inbound and outbound leads against defined ICP (Ideal Customer Profile) criteria, educate and nurture them.
- Schedule product demo meetings for Account Executives with qualified prospects.
- Send timely reminders and follow-ups to maximise demo attendance and reduce no-shows.
- Ensure smooth handoff to Account Executives with complete context on each prospect.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date lead information, activities, and pipeline status in the CRM system.
- Track outreach cadences, response rates, and qualification metrics.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to refine messaging, improve lead quality, and increase conversion rates.
What You Need for This Role-
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience
- 1–2 years of experience in sales, inside sales, SDR/BDR roles, or lead generation.
- Prior experience in SaaS or tech sales is mandatory.
Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage prospects confidently.
- Proven ability to conduct discovery conversations and identify customer pain points.
- Comfortable with cold outreach — email, LinkedIn, and cold calling.
- Strong follow-up discipline and ability to manage a high-volume pipeline.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Zoho) and sales engagement platforms (e.g., Apollo, Outreach, Lemlist).
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working in a target-driven environment.
- Strong time management and organisational skills.

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per year
