Job Description : Biomedical Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and responsible Biomedical Engineer to manage, maintain, and troubleshoot medical equipment used in the hospital. The candidate will ensure all biomedical devices function safely and efficiently to support quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair biomedical equipment
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of medical devices
- Monitor equipment performance and ensure operational safety
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and technicians regarding equipment usage
- Maintain service records, calibration reports, and maintenance logs
- Ensure compliance with hospital safety standards and biomedical regulations
- Coordinate with vendors for AMC/CMC services and equipment procurement
- Train hospital staff on proper use of medical equipment
- Attend emergency equipment breakdowns promptly
- Support equipment audits and accreditation requirements
Equipment Handling
Experience in handling equipment such as:
- ECG Machine
- Ventilator
- Defibrillator
- Patient Monitor
- Infusion Pump
- X-Ray / Ultrasound Systems
- ICU Equipment
- Laboratory Equipment
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in hospital biomedical maintenance preferred

- Technical troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of medical equipment and safety standards
- Communication and coordination skills
- Documentation and reporting ability
- Basic computer knowledge
- Ability to work under pressure
