About the Role
We are seeking an experienced D365 F&O Functional Consultant to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical execution for our client (Construction & Geo-engineering).
In this role, you will be the vital link translating the client’s real-time reporting, operational, and engineering requirements into clear, actionable functional specifications for our technical development team. You will ensure that the business logic is perfectly mapped out before it hits the development sprint.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirement Gathering: Partner closely with the client (ECS Limited) to capture, analyze, and document complex business requirements.
- Functional Design: Translate business needs into detailed Functional Design Documents (FDD) specifically targeting real-time reporting, form modifications, and inquiry tracking.
- Team Collaboration: Act as the primary conduit to the development team, clearly explaining the functional "why" behind the technical "what."
- Reporting Strategy: Guide the client on reporting best practices, helping them define standard KPIs and real-time data needs.
- Testing & Validation: Conduct system testing and validate that the developed X++ solutions and SSRS reports match the defined functional scope.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 4+ years as a Functional Consultant in D365 F&O (Core modules: Finance, Supply Chain, or Project Management/Accounting preferred).
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to deconstruct complex operational workflows into clean functional steps.
- Documentation: Exceptional skills in drafting crisp, clear Functional Design Documents (FDDs) for developer consumption.
- Communication: Stellar communication skills, with the ability to confidently manage client stakeholders and collaborate tightly with technical teams.
- Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with the construction, project management, or geo-engineering sectors is highly desirable.
