Job Description
The Technical Lead is the driving force behind the execution and delivery of enterprise data solutions. You will lead a squad of data engineers to build and deploy robust end-to-end analytics pipelines using Azure, Snowflake, and dbt. By deeply understanding Data Vault 2.0 architecture and championing AI-assisted development tools, you will ensure the team writes high-quality, scalable code faster and more efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the hands-on technical expert for the engineering squad.
- Write complex dbt models, configure Azure Data Factory pipelines, and optimize Snowflake compute resources.
- Translate logical Data Vault 2.0 models into physical tables and automated data pipelines.
- Build Hubs, Links, and Satellites with precision.
- Lead AI-driven development initiatives using tools like GitHub Copilot for SQL/dbt code generation, documentation, and testing.
- Own CI/CD pipelines and code review processes.
- Enforce coding standards, Git version control, and dbt validation testing.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Scrum Masters in Agile delivery.
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming and technical guidance.
Required Skills
- 7+ years of hands-on Data Engineering experience.
- 2+ years as a Tech Lead or Senior Engineer mentoring teams.
- Expert-level SQL and strong Python programming skills.
- Strong experience with:
- Azure (ADF, ADLS, Synapse)
- Snowflake
- dbt
- Data Vault 2.0
- Git & CI/CD pipelines
- Agile methodologies
- AI-assisted coding tools
