Job Summary
A Leading Ferro Alloys manufacturer is hiring an experienced PLC Operator
for its plant located at Byrnihat, Meghalaya.
Company-provided accommodation and food are available at the plant premises.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor the PLC-based furnace charging and batching system.
- Enter and update charge burden/recipe parameters in the PLC/computer system as per production requirements.
- Ensure accurate and timely feeding of raw materials/charge into the furnace according to the prescribed recipe.
- Monitor weight, batch quantity, and material feeding accuracy during the charging process.
- Monitor PLC screens, alarms, interlocks, and system status during operation.
- Identify operational abnormalities and coordinate with the maintenance/automation team for PLC or equipment-related issues.
- Generate and maintain batching, charging, and production reports.
- Maintain accurate records of recipes, batches, weights, and charging activities.
- Follow SOPs, safety procedures, and production instructions while operating the system.
- Coordinate with the furnace/production team to ensure uninterrupted and accurate furnace charging.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 5–8 years of hands-on experience in Ferro Alloys operations.
- Batch speed settings/monitoring
- Batching and production report generation
- Monitoring the automatic charging/batching process
- Basic troubleshooting of PLC-related operational issues
Qualification
ITI / Diploma in Electrical
Candidates with prior experience in the Ferro Division will be preferred.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
