We are looking for a motivated Pharma Sales Executive with experience in pharmaceutical or medical sales to expand our presence among doctors, hospitals, pharmacies, and healthcare professionals.
Job Summary
The Pharma Sales Executive will be responsible for promoting the company's medical and rehabilitation products to doctors, hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, distributors, and healthcare institutions. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical or medical industry and be capable of building long-term professional relationships that drive product sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and sell the company's medical devices and healthcare products within the assigned territory.
- Visit doctors, physiotherapists, orthopedic surgeons, vascular surgeons, general physicians, hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, and distributors regularly.
- Educate healthcare professionals about product features, benefits, indications, and clinical applications.
- Generate prescriptions and product recommendations through effective scientific detailing.
- Develop new business opportunities while maintaining relationships with existing customers.
- Conduct product demonstrations whenever required.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Identify potential dealers, distributors, and institutional customers.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends.
- Ensure product availability at retail pharmacies and distributor locations.
- Maintain daily call reports, sales reports, expense records, and customer databases.
- Participate in medical conferences, CMEs, exhibitions, and promotional activities.
- Coordinate with internal teams regarding customer feedback, orders, and after-sales support.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm), Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or any graduate with relevant pharmaceutical sales experience.
- Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) candidates with strong sales experience may also apply.
Experience
- 1–5 years of experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, surgical, or healthcare product sales.
- Freshers with excellent communication skills and a healthcare background may also be considered.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry.
- Understanding of medical terminology and clinical applications.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build relationships with doctors and healthcare professionals.
- Good territory management and sales planning skills.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities.
- Self-motivated with a target-oriented approach.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and reporting tools.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience working with doctors, hospitals, pharmacies, and distributors.
- Knowledge of orthopedic, rehabilitation, compression therapy, or medical device products will be an added advantage.
- Valid two-wheeler driving license and own vehicle preferred.
