Job Summary
Nexlink Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Customs & Logistics Executive to manage import/export operations, customs clearance processes, and end-to-end logistics coordination. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth movement of materials, compliance with customs regulations, timely deliveries, and cost-effective supply chain operations to support manufacturing and business requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesCustoms & Compliance
- Handle import and export documentation, customs clearance procedures, and shipment processing.
- Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, shipping agents, and government authorities.
- Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, DGFT norms, GST, and customs laws.
- Prepare and verify shipping documents such as Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Entry, Shipping Bill, COO, BOE, and other statutory documents.
- Monitor duty structures, HS code classifications, and tariff applicability.
- Support licensing requirements, bonded warehouse processes, and duty exemptions wherever applicable.
- Ensure timely customs clearance to avoid delays, penalties, or demurrage charges.
Logistics Operations
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments through air, sea, and road transport.
- Manage inbound and outbound logistics planning, shipment tracking, and delivery schedules.
- Liaise with transporters, warehouse teams, suppliers, and internal departments for material movement.
- Optimize freight costs and logistics efficiency.
- Monitor inventory movement and support warehouse coordination when required.
- Resolve shipment discrepancies, delays, and logistics-related issues proactively.
- Maintain records of shipments, freight costs, and logistics performance metrics.
Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination
- Work closely with suppliers, procurement teams, and logistics service providers.
- Negotiate and coordinate with freight forwarders and customs agents for efficient service.
- Support internal teams with shipment updates and material availability planning.
- Build strong relationships with logistics partners and regulatory stakeholders.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of import/export transactions.
- Prepare logistics reports, customs compliance reports, and cost analysis.
- Support audits related to customs, trade compliance, and supply chain operations.
- Ensure proper documentation filing and record retention as per regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Commerce, or related field.
- Certification in Import Export / Customs Compliance is an added advantage.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of import/export documentation and customs procedures.
- Understanding of freight forwarding, Incoterms, and international shipping processes.
- Knowledge of DGFT, customs regulations, GST, and trade compliance.
- Experience in shipment planning and logistics coordination.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, Excel, and logistics tracking tools.
- Strong communication and vendor management skills.
- Problem-solving mindset with high attention to detail.
Preferred Experience
- 2–5 years in customs clearance, international logistics, or supply chain operations.
- Experience in manufacturing, electronics, engineering, or industrial environments preferred.
- Exposure to handling imports of machinery, components, and production materials is an advantage.
