Chinese-Indian Chef
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and present a wide range of Chinese and Indian dishes to consistent quality and taste standards.
- Plan and execute menu items including starters, main course, rice, noodles, gravies, and desserts across both cuisines.
- Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards in the kitchen at all times.
- Manage ingredient stock, monitor inventory levels, and coordinate with the purchase team to avoid shortages.
- Ensure proper portioning, plating, and timely delivery of orders during service hours.
- Work closely with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff for smooth daily operations.
- Handle kitchen equipment with care and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Adapt recipes based on customer preferences, dietary requirements, and seasonal availability.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 2–4 years of hands-on experience as a Chef specializing in Chinese and Indian cuisine.
- Strong knowledge of Chinese cooking techniques — stir-fry, wok cooking, dim sum, soups, and Indo-Chinese preparations.
- Good understanding of Indian cuisine — curries, biryanis, tandoor, and regional Kerala dishes is an advantage.
- Ability to communicate clearly and confidently in Malayalam is mandatory.
- Knowledge of kitchen hygiene, food safety, and FSSAI standards.
- Ability to work under pressure during peak hours and maintain consistency in taste and quality.
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to support junior kitchen staff.
- Relevant culinary certification or hotel management qualification is an added advantage.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
