Role Summary
The Solar Electrician is responsible for the installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for residential, commercial, industrial, and government projects undertaken by Almiya Group. The role ensures all electrical works are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards, KSEB regulations, and applicable electrical codes.
Key Responsibilities
- Install rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV systems.
- Install and terminate DC and AC cables, conduits, cable trays, and junction boxes.
- Mount and connect solar panels, string inverters, hybrid inverters, batteries, and monitoring devices.
- Install ACDB, DCDB, isolators, SPDs, MCBs, MCCBs, earthing systems, and lightning arresters.
- Perform cable laying, gland termination, crimping, and electrical connections.
- Read and interpret Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), electrical layouts, and wiring schematics.
- Conduct pre-commissioning tests, insulation resistance tests, continuity tests, polarity checks, and voltage/current measurements.
- Assist engineers during commissioning and synchronization with the utility grid.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of solar installations.
- Troubleshoot inverter alarms, low-generation issues, cable faults, and electrical failures.
- Ensure compliance with KSEB regulations, CEA safety standards, and company SOPs.
- Maintain daily work reports, service records, and material usage reports.
- Follow all electrical safety procedures and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Qualifications
- ITI Electrician / Wireman (NCVT/SCVT) or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Wireman Licence (preferred).
- Certification in Solar PV Installation & Maintenance is an added advantage.
- 2–5 years of experience in solar EPC, electrical contracting, or renewable energy projects.
- Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites.

Working Conditions
- Work at rooftops, commercial buildings, industrial plants, and ground-mounted solar sites.
- Comfortable working at heights using approved fall-protection equipment.
- Travel across Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and other project locations.
- Availability for emergency maintenance and breakdown support when required.

Pay: ₹18,338.22 - ₹29,964.45 per month
Work Location: In person
