- Dispensing the prescribed medicines and supplies.
- To ensure that all medicines and drugs are stored properly in an easily retrieval manner and in the appropriate manner.
- Working with other medical personnel to provide treatments and advice to patients.
- Recording patient histories relating to medicinal use, and ensuring the safe and secure storage of all medicines and hospital supplies.
- Ensuring medicinal product are stored appropriately and securely to ensure freshness and potency.
- Ensuring medication reaches the patient in the correct form and dose-this may include tablets, capsules, ointments, injection, inhalers and various pharmaceutical products.
- Being responsible for the accurate dispensing and timely distribution of drugs and medicines for IP & OP
- Responding to medication-related queries from within the hospital, and general public
- Keep up to date with, the new development in pharmaceutical field, often in collaboration with medical staff and colleagues in pharmacy
- Check prescription for errors, ensuring they’re appropriate and safe for the individual patient.
- Provide information on expenditure on drugs
- Prepare and quality-check sterile medications and also the crash cot medicines.
- To arrange for periodic stock verification. Stocks should be physically verified with books once in every three Months.
- To maintain Vendor database.
- Short expiry medicine identification and inform to manager
- Coordinate for medicine stock verification.
- Will do billing entry, medicine return as per policy.
- Credit bills handover to cashier and then follow-up
- Update quality indicator registers.
- Individual racks will clean and update medicine requirements to manager
- To coordinate with Market pharmacies for arranging non-available drugs.
