Job Summary
The Clinical Operations Head / Medical Superintendent will oversee the smooth day-to-day functioning of hospital clinical operations, coordinate with doctors and departments, ensure quality patient care, and support hospital administration activities.
This role requires a responsible and proactive professional who can manage clinical coordination, staff discipline, patient handling, and operational flow in a growing hospital environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesHospital Operations
- Monitor daily functioning of OPD, IPD, ICU, OT, and Emergency services
- Ensure smooth coordination between departments
- Support patient flow and operational efficiency
- Handle operational issues and escalations when required
Clinical Coordination
- Coordinate with consultants, RMOs, nursing staff, and department teams
- Ensure timely medical documentation and reporting
- Support implementation of hospital protocols and patient safety practices
Team Supervision
- Guide and supervise clinical and support teams
- Assist management in staff scheduling and discipline
- Support recruitment and onboarding of clinical staff when required
Patient Care & Quality
- Ensure proper patient care standards are maintained
- Address patient and attendant concerns professionally
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness, safety, and infection control practices
Compliance & Administration
- Support NABH-related documentation and operational processes
- Ensure medico-legal and hospital records are maintained properly
- Coordinate during audits and inspections when required
Required Qualifications
- MBBS / BAMS / BHMS (as per hospital requirement and role structure)
- Hospital administration exposure preferred
Experience
- 2–8 years of hospital experience preferred
- Prior exposure to hospital operations or clinical coordination is an advantage
Skills Required
- Good leadership and coordination skills
- Basic understanding of hospital operations
- Strong communication and patient-handling ability
- Ability to manage teams and operational situations calmly
Preferred Profile
- Experience in multispecialty hospital setup
- Basic NABH understanding preferred
- Hands-on and practical approach to operations
Working Conditions
