About the Role
We are hiring an Assistant Merchandiser for our export house dealing in fabric-based products such as tote bags, pouches, utility bags, and home furnishing materials. The role requires strong coordination skills, will be assisting senior Merchandiser, and having knowledge of textile products and export processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle merchandising with Sr. merchandiser from buyer inquiry to final shipment
- Coordinate with design team, sampling, production, and vendors
- Develop and follow up on samples, costing, and approvals
- Prepare order file, order sheets, and production details
- Ensure timely execution of orders as per buyer requirements and delivery schedules
- Track production status and resolve issues related to quality & timelines
- Ensure compliance with export quality standards and buyer specifications
- Maintain proper documentation for export orders
Requirements
- Bachelor’s/Diploma in Merchandising, Fashion, or Textiles
- 2–5 years of experience as a Merchandiser in an export house
- Hands-on experience with fabric bags, pouches, and home furnishing products
- Strong understanding of fabrics, trims, printing, embroidery & finishing
- Knowledge of production planning
- Experience handling international buyers
- Good communication, follow-up, and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel and basic ERP systems
- Good English communication and coordination skills
