About the Role
Catalyst Education is looking for a creative and skilled Video Editor with 2–3 years of professional experience to create high-quality educational, promotional, and social media content.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit educational videos, lectures, promotional videos, reels, Shorts, testimonials, and advertisements.
- Create engaging edits with strong storytelling, pacing, transitions, graphics, and sound design.
- Handle colour correction, audio enhancement, subtitles, and basic motion graphics.
- Create short-form content from long-form educational videos.
- Collaborate with the academic, content, marketing, and creative teams.
- Maintain Catalyst Education's visual identity and quality standards.
- Manage multiple projects and deliver videos within deadlines.
- Stay updated with current Instagram, YouTube, and EdTech video trends.
- Organize and maintain raw footage, project files, and final video assets.
Required Skills
- Adobe Premiere Pro – Mandatory
- Adobe After Effects – Strong knowledge preferred
- CapCut / DaVinci Resolve knowledge is an advantage.
- Motion graphics and animation.
- Colour grading and audio editing.
- Strong understanding of Reels, Shorts, YouTube, and digital advertising formats.
- Excellent sense of storytelling, visual composition, pacing, and audience retention.
- Ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
Candidate Profile
- 2–3 years of professional video-editing experience.
- Previous EdTech, education, digital marketing, media, or content-production experience preferred.
- Strong portfolio/showreel is mandatory.
- Candidates who understand both creative editing and performance-driven social media content will be preferred.
Current Kerala EdTech listings commonly emphasize Premiere Pro, After Effects/motion graphics, short-form content, storytelling, and a strong portfolio for experienced editors.
