A CCTV Technician installs, maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots surveillance and security systems for homes, businesses, and organizations. They ensure cameras, recording devices, monitors, and network systems operate correctly and securely.
Key Responsibilities
- Install CCTV cameras, DVRs/NVRs, monitors, and related equipment
- Run and terminate cables (coaxial, Ethernet, fiber optic)
- Configure IP cameras and network settings
- Test and troubleshoot surveillance systems
- Perform maintenance and system upgrades
- Monitor system performance and fix technical issues
- Ensure compliance with safety and security standards
- Train clients or staff on system usage
- Maintain installation and service records
Required Skills
- Knowledge of CCTV and security systems
- Understanding of networking and IP configurations
- Cable installation and electrical wiring skills
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with DVR/NVR systems
- Basic computer and software skills
- Ability to read technical diagrams and blueprints
- Good communication and customer service skills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or technical certification
- Experience in CCTV/security system installation preferred
- Certifications in electronics or networking are an advantage
Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
