Job Title: Staff Nurse
Department: Nursing
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, symptoms, and overall condition.
- Administer medications, injections, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Assist doctors during examinations, procedures, and emergencies.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records and nursing documentation.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, medications, and post-discharge care.
- Ensure infection control protocols and patient safety standards are strictly followed.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide first aid or life support when required.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain cleanliness and readiness of medical equipment and nursing stations.
- Participate in shift handovers and communicate patient updates effectively.
- Adhere to hospital policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing / GNM).
- Valid Nursing License/Registration from the relevant nursing council.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS certification is an added advantage.
Experience
- 0–2 years of clinical experience (Freshers with valid nursing registration may also apply).
- Experience in hospitals, clinics, or healthcare facilities is preferred.
