Designation: PYP Facilitator
Reporting To: PYP Coordinator / Head of Academics (HOA)
Experience Required: Minimum 2+ years of experience in the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP)

The PYP Facilitator is responsible for planning, designing, and facilitating engaging and concept-driven learning experiences aligned with the IB PYP framework. The role requires strong collaborative skills, leadership experience, and the ability to foster a nurturing and inquiry-based classroom environment that supports diverse learners.
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Planning & Instruction
- Design, plan, and facilitate high-quality Units of Inquiry aligned with the PYP curriculum framework.
- Create challenging, engaging, and differentiated learning opportunities to meet the individual needs of all students.
- Prepare the classroom environment to reflect and support the current Unit of Inquiry.
- Use appropriate formative and summative assessments to inform planning and address diverse learning needs.
- Scaffold language development to ensure accessibility for all learners.
- Encourage student agency by facilitating independence and amplifying student voice within the classroom.
Student Development & Well-being
- Observe and evaluate students’ academic and social development.
- Provide constructive feedback to support student growth and “feed forward” learning.
- Recognize and support diversity among individuals and groups.
- Mindfully promote personal, social, and emotional well-being.
- Foster curiosity, creativity, and inquiry-based thinking.
- Maintain a respectful, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and mentor team members as a Group Lead / Team Lead, supporting curriculum planning and team coordination.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share innovative teaching strategies and professional knowledge.
- Work closely with parents and the PYP Coordinator to design and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) where required.
- Contribute to school-wide initiatives, assemblies, extracurricular activities, and conferences.
- Participate actively in professional development programs and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Administration & Compliance
- Complete required documentation and reports in a timely manner.
- Uphold the school’s code of conduct and adhere to all policy guidelines.
- Ensure respectful and professional interactions within the learning community.
