Plumbing Industry Specialist – Sales Support Assistant
Om Infotech is seeking an experienced Plumbing Industry Specialist with 5–10 years of hands-on experience in the plumbing industry. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of plumbing products, systems, pipes, valves, fittings, fixtures, accessories, and installation methods, along with excellent English communication skills.
This is a remote position that combines plumbing expertise with sales support responsibilities. The selected candidate will work closely with sales representatives and assist the Sales Manager with product research, technical inquiries, documentation, customer communication, and other sales-related activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert knowledge of plumbing systems, products, pipes, valves, fittings, fixtures, and accessories.
- Assist sales representatives and the Sales Manager with daily sales-support activities.
- Help identify suitable plumbing products based on customer requirements.
- Identify plumbing components from drawings, images, catalogues, and technical documents.
- Research products, specifications, pricing, availability, and alternative options.
- Communicate professionally in English with customers, suppliers, manufacturers, contractors, and other industry professionals.
- Assist with customer and supplier inquiries and follow-ups.
- Prepare product comparisons, technical information, and supporting documentation for the sales team.
- Review plumbing specifications, product data sheets, catalogues, and technical documents.
- Support the sales, operations, and project teams with plumbing-related expertise.
- Stay updated on industry standards, market trends, and new plumbing products.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant plumbing industry experience; candidates with 10 or more years of experience will be preferred.
- Strong understanding of residential and commercial plumbing systems.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Ability to identify plumbing parts, fittings, fixtures, and installation methods.
- Ability to work effectively as an assistant to sales representatives and the Sales Manager.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office, email, and internet research.
- Strong communication, coordination, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with plumbing distributors, manufacturers, contractors, builders, construction companies, or plumbing supply businesses.
- Previous experience supporting a sales team or Sales Manager.
- Exposure to international plumbing products, customers, suppliers, and standards.
