Chinmaya Vidyalaya Matric. Hr. Sec. School, Salem invites applications from dynamic, scholarly, and passionate educators for the post of TGT Mathematics Teacher. We are seeking candidates who can cultivate logical thinking, problem-solving skills, and mathematical curiosity while integrating the Chinmaya Vision Program (CVP) to nurture students into confident, disciplined, and value-driven learners.
Key ResponsibilitiesCurriculum Delivery
Teach Mathematics to Middle and Secondary School students in accordance with the prescribed curriculum, ensuring conceptual clarity and strong foundational understanding across topics such as Algebra, Geometry, Mensuration, Trigonometry, Statistics, and Number Systems.
Conceptual Excellence
Develop students' analytical and logical reasoning abilities by simplifying complex mathematical concepts through activity-based, inquiry-driven, and application-oriented teaching.
Problem Solving & Reasoning
Train students to approach mathematical problems systematically, encouraging multiple solution strategies, critical thinking, and higher-order reasoning skills.
Mathematical Applications
Demonstrate the practical applications of Mathematics in everyday life, science, technology, and real-world problem-solving to make learning meaningful and engaging.
Pedagogical Innovation
Employ innovative teaching methodologies including experiential learning, collaborative problem-solving, mathematical games, ICT-enabled instruction, Smart Boards, GeoGebra, and other digital learning tools to create interactive classrooms.
Assessment & Feedback
Design competency-based assessments, worksheets, assignments, and periodic tests aligned with CBSE/State Board expectations. Provide timely, constructive feedback and maintain comprehensive records of student performance.
Value-Based Education
Integrate the values of the Chinmaya Mission into Mathematics instruction by fostering discipline, perseverance, honesty, precision, and logical decision-making.
Remedial & Enrichment Support
Identify students requiring academic intervention and provide individualized remedial coaching. Simultaneously mentor advanced learners through enrichment activities and competitive exam preparation.
Co-Curricular Leadership
Lead Mathematics Club activities, organize quizzes, Olympiad coaching, puzzle competitions, exhibitions, and mathematical enrichment programs that inspire curiosity beyond the classroom.
Professionalism
Collaborate with fellow Mathematics faculty to develop innovative teaching resources, question banks, and lesson plans while actively participating in faculty development programmes and continuous professional learning.
Eligibility CriteriaEducation
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics (B.Sc./M.Sc. Mathematics).
- A mandatory B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) degree from a recognized university.
Experience
Preference will be given to candidates with 3–7 years of experience teaching Mathematics at the Middle or Secondary School level in reputed English-medium schools.

Subject Expertise
- Strong command over Algebra, Geometry, Arithmetic, Trigonometry, Statistics, Mensuration, and Mathematical Reasoning.
- Ability to simplify abstract concepts and build conceptual understanding.
Communication
- Excellent English communication skills (both written and spoken) with the ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly and effectively.
Digital Literacy
- Proficiency in Smart Boards, GeoGebra, Microsoft Office, educational software, and digital assessment platforms.
Temperament
- A patient, encouraging, and student-centric mentor capable of fostering confidence, resilience, and a growth mindset while effectively managing adolescent classroom dynamics.
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
