You will be part of bp’s growing Salesforce engineering hub in Pune, working within cross‑functional delivery squads supporting Mobility & Convenience Americas. As an Enterprise Technology Engineer, you will collaborate closely with Senior Engineers, Product Managers, Architects, Security teams and strategic delivery partners to deliver robust Salesforce solutions. You will act as a key technical contributor within your squads, supporting junior engineers while progressively taking ownership of more sophisticated solution areas and end‑to‑end technical outcomes.

Under the mentorship of Staff Product Manager and Staff Enterprise Technology Engineer, The Enterprise Technology Engineer plays a meaningful role in crafting, delivering and operating high‑quality Salesforce solutions within bp’s enterprise technology landscape. You will work with established architecture and platform mentorship, while exercising increased technical judgment in solution build and implementation.
You are accountable for delivering sophisticated components and features, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable and operationally sound. You will contribute to technical design discussions, help identify risks early and work with senior engineers to implement solutions that balance business needs with platform sustainability.
This role represents a step‑up in ownership and influence, where you begin to develop how engineering is done within your squads and contribute to capability improvement across the wider engineering community.
What you will deliver
Solution Ownership & Technical Quality
Builds and implements Salesforce solutions for sophisticated requirements, ensuring high standards of quality, security and performance.
Takes ownership of significant components or services, ensuring they are well‑tested, maintainable and production‑ready.
Contributes to reducing defects and technical debt through thoughtful design and focused execution.
Agile & DevOps‑Led Delivery
Applies agile and DevOps practices consistently, contributing to predictable delivery and operational stability.
Embeds' testing and operational considerations early, supporting smoother releases and reduced incidents.
Participates actively in production support and incident resolution, maintaining service reliability.
Collaboration Across Squads & Stakeholders
Works closely with Product Managers to understand outcomes and translate them into effective technical solutions.
Collaborates with architects and senior engineers during design reviews, incorporating feedback into implementation.
Supports delivery partners and peers through clear communication and knowledge building.
Growing Technical Leadership
Provides guidance and informal mentoring to junior engineers within the squad.
Contributes to documentation, reusable components and shared engineering assets.
Begins to influence engineering practices and standards beyond immediate tasks.
What you will need to be successful
At this level, the Enterprise Technology Engineer demonstrates strong technical competence with growing autonomy. You are trusted to deliver complex work with limited supervision, while knowing when to seek input or escalation from senior engineers.
You understand the wider impact of your technical decisions and begin to think beyond short‑term delivery, considering reuse, operability and long‑term sustainability. You communicate clearly with technical and non‑technical stakeholders and contribute constructively to design and planning discussions. Success in this role involves balancing hands‑on delivery with growing ownership, influence and responsibility as you progress toward senior enterprise engineering roles.
Preferred experience:
6+ years of experience designing and delivering enterprise‑grade digital solutions, with deep hands‑on experience on Salesforce platforms.
Strong expertise in Salesforce solution design and development, including Sales Cloud. Experience across Service Cloud, CPQ or Revenue Lifecycle Management is advantageous.
Proven experience working in sophisticated, multi‑team and multi‑vendor environments using agile and DevOps delivery models.
Proven understanding of integration, data, security and operational considerations in large‑scale enterprise platforms.
Experience contributing to architecture reviews, engineering standards, reusable assets and technical governance forums.
Salesforce technical certifications (Application, System or Technical Architect) are desirable, along with a proven commitment to continuous learning.
