Job Summary
The IELTS / Spoken English Trainer will be responsible for delivering high-quality English language training to students preparing for IELTS examinations and learners seeking to improve their spoken English, communication, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and overall language proficiency.
The trainer is expected to create an engaging learning environment, assess student progress, provide individual feedback, and support students in achieving their academic, professional, and language-learning goals.
Key Responsibilities1. IELTS Training
- Conduct IELTS training sessions covering:
- Listening
- Reading
- Writing
- Speaking
- Explain IELTS examination format, assessment criteria, question types, and strategies.
- Conduct regular mock tests and practice sessions.
- Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Identify individual weaknesses and develop appropriate improvement strategies.
- Train students in time management and examination techniques.
- Maintain records of student performance and progress.
- Keep updated with IELTS examination patterns, assessment criteria, and best practices.
2. Spoken English Training
- Conduct interactive Spoken English classes for students at different proficiency levels.
- Improve students':
- Speaking fluency
- Pronunciation
- Grammar
- Vocabulary
- Sentence formation
- Listening and comprehension
- Confidence and communication skills
- Conduct role plays, group discussions, presentations, debates, conversations, and other practical activities.
- Encourage students to communicate in English during training sessions.
- Provide individual guidance to students requiring additional support.
3. Student Assessment & Progress Monitoring
- Conduct placement/level assessments where required.
- Monitor attendance, participation, performance, and improvement.
- Provide regular feedback to students.
- Recommend additional practice or remedial sessions where necessary.
- Coordinate with the Academic Head/Centre Head regarding student progress and concerns.
4. Academic Responsibilities
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, practice materials, assignments, and assessments.
- Maintain required academic and student records.
- Participate in faculty meetings, training programmes, workshops, and academic activities.
- Follow the institute's academic policies, curriculum, schedules, and quality standards.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of training materials and programmes.
5. Student Engagement & Support
- Maintain a positive, professional, and supportive classroom environment.
- Motivate students and encourage consistent participation.
- Address reasonable academic queries and provide guidance within the scope of the role.
- Support students in developing confidence for real-life English communication as well as IELTS examination performance.
6. Online / Hybrid Training
Where assigned, conduct classes through online or hybrid platforms.
- Deliver engaging virtual classes.
- Use digital teaching tools, presentations, online assessments, and learning resources effectively.
- Provide timely feedback on online assignments and practice activities.
- Ensure students receive an effective learning experience irrespective of the mode of delivery.
Prefered Qualifications
- Strong command of spoken and written English.
- Previous experience in IELTS training, Spoken English training, or English language teaching is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field preferred.
- IELTS certification / relevant English language teaching certification will be an advantage.
- Familiarity with IELTS assessment criteria and examination practices.

- Complete assigned academic and administrative responsibilities within prescribed timelines.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
