Reporting to: Business Head – Polymers
We are India’s leading and fastest-growing B2B platform for industrial raw materials, revolutionizing the procurement landscape across Plastics, Paints, Paper, Pharma, and Recyclables. We are building a tech-enabled, 360° ecosystem designed to streamline the manufacturing supply chain.
With a clear roadmap to grow 10x and an IPO target within the next 3 years, Source operates through three distinct sub-brands:
Source. One: Tech-enabled distribution of virgin industrial raw materials.
Source.Re: Value-addition and distribution of recycled materials.
SourcePlus: A premier market intelligence platform for the industrial ecosystem.
As an established leader in Virgin Polymer trading, we are expanding into Compounded Polymers via an asset-light, contract manufacturing model. We are seeking a Technical Lead to serve as the critical bridge between our contract manufacturers and our customer base.
This is a techno-commercial leadership role where you will be responsible for designing formulations, auditing production quality, and providing high-level technical solutions to customers. You will effectively "own" the technical integrity of our compounding portfolio.
Contract Manufacturing Management: Evaluate, onboard, and audit third-party toll compounders. You will establish the SOPs and QA parameters to ensure external partners meet our rigorous quality standards.
Formulation & Recipe Development: Develop and optimize formulations for Engineering Plastics (PA6, PA66, PBT, PC, ABS) and Polyolefins tailored to specific customer needs.
Customer Application Support: Partner with the sales team during client visits to analyze application requirements and recommend the optimal compounded grades.
Technical Troubleshooting: Resolve complex customer complaints related to material processing, defects, or molding issues, both on-site and remotely.
Product Matching: Reverse-engineer competitor samples to develop equivalent or superior grades that offer better cost-efficiency or performance.
Product Strategy: Identify market gaps to suggest new product lines and maintain a comprehensive technical database (TDS/MSDS) for the portfolio.
Education: B.Tech / M.Tech in Polymer Science, Plastic Technology, or Chemical Engineering. Candidates from CIPET or IITs are preferred.
Experience: 8–12 years of hands-on experience in the Polymer Compounding industry, with a mix of R&D/Production and Technical Services.
Technical Mastery: Deep expertise in Twin-Screw Extrusion, compounding additives, fillers (GF/MF), impact modifiers, and color matching.
Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to manage third-party factory owners and influence high-value corporate customers.
Mobility: High energy and willingness to travel to plant sites and customer locations across the region.
Wealth Creation: This role offers significant ESOPs and Profit Sharing, specifically designed to create life-changing wealth as we approach our IPO.
Autonomy: We value high ownership and low bureaucracy. You will have the freedom to run your category your way and build a product portfolio from scratch.
Scale: Benefit from the backing of a tech-enabled, capital-efficient platform that is already a dominant market leader.
Impact: Lead the technical vertical of a high-growth expansion project that is central to the company’s 10x growth strategy.
