Title: Embedded Software Developer Location: Chennai Overview: We are looking for a passionate and self-driven Embedded Software Developerto join our dynamic team and to be part of the flight software development that can be taken for any LEO and MEO satellites. You will play a key role in designing, developing, testing and integration of satellite flight software involving RTOS, middleware, frameworks, algorithms, attitude control systems, power distribution systems, embedded applications. Responsibilities: Responsible for design, development, testing and integration of all satellite flight software including Command & Data Handling, Power, Communications, Guidance, Navigation, & Control Systems. Design and develop driver software for various sensors, application hardware and control systems. Develop embedded drivers, embedded applications, micro services that can be seamlessly ported across different processor and operating systems. Implement generic API framework to communicate with various sub-systems. Design and develop test software framework to support unit, integration, and system testing of all flight software functions. Qualifications: Must have 5+ years of recent real-time embedded software experience. Must possess a Bachelor’s /Master’s degree in Electronics, Software, Electrical, Aerospace, or related field. Must have hands-on experience with hardware interfaces, embedded processor architectures, I/O device drivers, networking protocols and board support packages. Demonstrated experience working with multiple programming languages (C, Python), operating systems, and development environments is must. Must have hands on experience with low-speed and high-speed communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, PCIe and CAN desired. Must have hands on experience with RTOS, Linux OS and inter-process communication (IPC). Proficiency in developing and testing embedded software for Small Sats/CubeSats is desired. Experience in networking devices, robotics, IoT, or similar embedded device industries desired. Proficiency in UML modeling, test-driven development, Agile process and DevOps Tools desired.
