job Summary
The Lab Technical Incharge is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the laboratory, ensuring the proper functioning of laboratory equipment, maintaining safety standards, managing laboratory inventory, and providing technical support for laboratory activities. The role ensures that laboratory procedures are conducted efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with organizational policies and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of the laboratory.
- Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Ensure all laboratory equipment is in proper working condition.
- Monitor laboratory safety practices and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Prepare laboratory materials, chemicals, reagents, and equipment for practical sessions or testing.
- Maintain accurate records of laboratory activities, equipment maintenance, and test results.
- Manage laboratory inventory, including procurement, storage, and stock control of chemicals, consumables, and equipment.
- Coordinate equipment servicing and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Train laboratory staff, technicians, and students (where applicable) on proper laboratory procedures and safety.
- Assist faculty, researchers, or quality teams with laboratory experiments and projects.
- Ensure proper disposal of laboratory waste according to regulatory guidelines.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain laboratory documentation in compliance with quality management systems.
- Coordinate internal and external laboratory audits.
- Prepare reports related to laboratory performance and equipment status.
Qualifications
- Diploma/Bachelor's/Master's degree in Laboratory Technology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Medical Laboratory Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant technical certifications are an added advantage.
Experience
- 3–7 years of experience in laboratory operations.
- Experience in laboratory equipment maintenance and quality systems is preferred.
- Supervisory experience is desirable.

Pay: Up to ₹35,000.00 per month
