Job Title: Horticulture Executive
Department: Facility Management / Operations
Reporting To: Facility Manager / Operations Manager
Job Summary
The Horticulture Executive is responsible for maintaining and enhancing landscaped areas, gardens, lawns, and indoor/outdoor plants. The role includes supervising gardening activities, ensuring plant health, coordinating with landscaping vendors, and maintaining the overall aesthetic appearance of the premises.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain gardens, lawns, flower beds, shrubs, trees, and landscaped areas.
- Plan and supervise daily horticulture and gardening activities.
- Ensure proper watering, pruning, fertilization, pest control, and plant care.
- Monitor the health of plants and recommend replacement or seasonal plantation as required.
- Coordinate with landscaping contractors and gardening staff.
- Maintain irrigation systems and ensure efficient water usage.
- Procure plants, fertilizers, gardening tools, and other horticulture materials.
- Ensure cleanliness and aesthetic appearance of all green areas.
- Prepare maintenance schedules and inspection reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and sustainability standards.
- Maintain inventory of horticulture equipment and consumables.
- Support landscaping projects and seasonal plantation activities.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the management.
Qualification
- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, Botany, or a related field.
- Certification in Landscaping or Horticulture is an added advantage.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in horticulture, landscaping, or garden maintenance.
- Experience in commercial buildings, residential communities, hospitals, educational institutions, or industrial facilities is preferred.
Skills
- Good knowledge of plants, trees, flowers, and landscape maintenance.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, fertilizers, and pest management.
- Ability to supervise gardening staff and contractors.
- Good planning and organizational skills.
- Basic computer knowledge for maintaining reports.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work outdoors and manage multiple sites if required.
Pay: ₹32,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
