Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Engineer to oversee and ensure the highest quality standards in residential and commercial construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for implementing quality assurance processes, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and standards for construction projects.
- Conduct regular site inspections for residential and commercial projects to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality benchmarks.
- Monitor all construction activities including civil, structural, and finishing works.
- Review and approve material submittals, method statements, and inspection test plans (ITPs).
- Ensure testing of materials (concrete, steel, etc.) is carried out as per standards.
- Coordinate with project managers, consultants, and contractors to resolve quality-related issues.
- Identify defects/non-conformities and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Maintain quality records, reports, checklists, and documentation.
- Ensure adherence to safety and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct internal audits and support external quality audits.
- Train site teams on quality standards and best practices.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of construction quality standards and codes (IS codes, ASTM, etc.).
- Hands-on experience in residential and commercial building projects.
- Good understanding of concrete technology, finishing works, and material testing.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of QA/QC software is an added advantage.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in high-rise residential and commercial developments.
- Familiarity with ISO quality standards and audit processes.
- Exposure to third-party quality inspections and laboratory testing.
