Pharmacist Job Description
A pharmacist is a healthcare professional responsible for preparing, dispensing, and reviewing medications while ensuring patient safety and proper drug use within the field of Pharmacy.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately
- Review prescriptions for dosage, interactions, and allergies
- Counsel patients on how to take medicines safely
- Provide advice on over-the-counter drugs and minor health issues
- Maintain patient records and confidentiality
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Manage inventory and order medicines
- Coordinate with doctors and other healthcare professionals
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of medications and drug interactions

Qualifications
- Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm)
- Registered with the State Pharmacy Council
