About Hare Krishna Eco Village
The Hare Krishna Eco Village is a flagship, large-scale integrated development envisioned as a model for sustainable, spiritual, and community living. Spread across approximately 125 acres, the project blends traditional Indian wisdom with modern sustainability practices. Nearly 95% of the land is planned as open green spaces, featuring extensive plantations, water bodies, natural contours, and eco-sensitive infrastructure.
The Eco Village will host a diverse mix of components including a spiritual village, temples, goshalas, naturopathy and wellness centers, organic farming zones, residential communities, and social infrastructure such as Basilwoods School and Gurukul-style education systems. The project aims to create a harmonious ecosystem rooted in sustainability, simplicity, and cultural authenticity, while maintaining high standards of planning and execution.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and committed General Manager – Projects to lead the end-to-end execution of the Hare Krishna Eco Village. This is a leadership role requiring a rare combination of project management excellence, sensitivity to sustainability and traditional construction practices, and the ability to operate with a lean, high-efficiency team.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of the Eco Village project.
· Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with project vision.
· Ensure timely delivery of drawings, approvals, and on-ground execution.
· Oversee development across multiple components including spiritual infrastructure, residential spaces, naturopathy facilities, educational institutions, and organic farming.
· Manage execution on challenging site contours and terrain conditions.
· Ensure implementation of green building concepts and sustainable practices.
· Oversee large-scale plantation, landscaping, and ecological development.
· Drive cost optimization and value engineering across all project phases.
· Work with a lean in-house team and ensure high productivity.
· Establish systems for monitoring, reporting, and quality control.
· Ensure infrastructure such as internal roads, water systems, streams, and amenities are executed efficiently.
· Continuously communicate and reinforce the vision of the management to all stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
Experience:
· Minimum 15 years of overall experience in project execution.
· At least 5 years in leadership roles managing large-scale projects.
Core Competencies:
· Strong experience in end-to-end project management.
· Ability to handle multi-disciplinary coordination.
· Exposure to large land development projects is highly preferred.
· Familiarity with sustainable / green construction practices.
· Willingness to understand and work with traditional construction methods.
· Openness to learn aspects of temple architecture and spiritual infrastructure development.
