The Role
- As a Piping Stress Engineer at Worley provides specialized piping engineering and stress analysis expertise for complex industrial projects across energy, chemicals, and resources sectors. The role involves ensuring structural integrity, safety, code compliance, and reliability of piping systems while supporting multidisciplinary engineering teams.
These roles are based in Hyderabad , with opportunities aligned to experience, technical capability and project requirements.
- This recruitment is part of an invite‑only hiring drive scheduled for Saturday, 4th Jul 2026, at our Hyderabad office. Interviews will be conducted only for pre‑screened candidates who receive a formal invitation from our Talent Acquisition team.
- Roles will be offered at Engineer or Senior Engineer, depending on experience and skills.
Compensation and grades will be aligned accordingly. Opportunities may be offered as permanent or fixed term contract positions.
Key Responsibilities
Stress Analysis & Engineering Design
- Perform detailed piping stress analysis using specialized engineering software under various thermal, pressure, and load conditions.
- Identify critical piping areas, propose technical solutions, and implement design modifications.
Review and update piping specifications and design requirements.
Project Execution & Technical Support
- Deliver piping engineering services in accordance with Worley, customer, and regulatory standards, within schedule and budget.
- Participate in design reviews, coordination meetings, and progress evaluations.
Provide support during procurement, construction, inspection, and commissioning activities (e.g., writing requisitions, evaluating technical bids).
Code Compliance & Industry Standards
- Ensure adherence to relevant codes such as ASME, API, and international piping standards.
Maintain up to date knowledge of industry regulations, new technologies, and innovations in piping engineering.
Risk Assessment & Troubleshooting
- Perform risk and reliability assessments to identify potential failure modes.
Investigate piping related issues and provide corrective and preventive solutions.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare engineering calculations, stress reports, design documents, and technical presentations.
Ensure comprehensive documentation that supports all piping design and analysis tasks.
Leadership & Mentoring
- Act as Lead Piping Engineer when required; define scope, allocate work to teams, and supervise progress.
- Mentor junior engineers and assist in team capability development.
About You
To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering in the relevant discipline or equivalent.
- Strong practical experience in piping engineering and stress analysis in EPC or industrial plant environments.
- Proficiency in piping stress analysis software (e.g., CAESAR II) and standard engineering tools.
- Minimum 12 years’ experience in the offshore Oil & Gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of ASME, API, and international codes.
- Multi disciplinary coordination.
- Risk assessment and problem solving.
- Technical documentation and reporting.
- Leadership and team management.
- Good Communication Skill. English Fluent in Speaking and Writing.
- Good Team Player. Self-Motivated with a Drive for Results, Improvement, and Innovation.
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or equivalent certification.
Postgraduate qualifications in engineering or project management.
