We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused L1 Application Support Engineer to join our IT Managed Services team. The selected candidate will provide first-level application support, assist users with day-to-day technical issues, and ensure smooth operation of business applications deployed at schools.
This role requires excellent communication skills, analytical thinking, and a strong willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level support for business applications and IT systems.
- Log, track, prioritize, and resolve incidents through the ticketing system.
- Troubleshoot application-related issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Escalate unresolved incidents to L2/L3 support teams with complete documentation.
- Monitor application availability and report any service disruptions.
- Assist users with application access, password resets, and basic configuration issues.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, service requests, and resolutions.
- Follow defined SLAs and ensure timely response and closure of support tickets.
- Coordinate with internal teams and client stakeholders for issue resolution.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly support reports as required.
- Create and update knowledge base articles and standard operating procedures.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of Windows operating systems.
- Familiarity with web-based applications and client-server architecture.
- Knowledge of ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Freshservice, Jira, Zendesk, or similar) is preferred.
- Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Customer-centric attitude with a problem-solving mindset.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts if required.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, BCA, B.Sc. (IT/CS), MCA, BE/B.Tech, or equivalent.
