Key Responsibilities
Legal Drafting & Documentation
- Drafting, reviewing, and vetting commercial contracts, agreements, and other legal documentation.
- Preparation of legal documents including legal notices, Letters of Intent (LOI), MOU, lease agreements, sale agreements, leave & license agreements, conveyance deeds, and related documentation.
- Drafting and reviewing legal documents for litigation and non-litigation matters and commercial transactions.
Litigation & Dispute Management
- Monitoring and managing ongoing litigation matters and coordinating with external counsel.
- Handling and tracking cases relating to arbitration and litigation across various forums including:
- City Civil Court, Sessions Court, High Court
- Revenue Authorities, Charity Commissioner
- Ensuring proper compliance with court orders, filings, and case updates.
Real Estate Legal Due Diligence
- Conducting legal due diligence of land parcels for acquisition, development, redevelopment, and joint venture projects.
- Reviewing title documents, property records, approvals, and regulatory compliance for development projects.
- Assisting in finalization of documentation for land acquisition, redevelopment, and joint venture agreements.
- Land, Redevelopment Societies title due diligence and title certificates.
- Revenue Documents with respect to land
Compliance & Legal Advisory
- Drafting and updating Lease and Leave & License Agreements in accordance with prevailing laws and statutory amendments.
- Developing and implementing legal policies, procedures, and documentation frameworks within the organization.
- Conducting legal research and advising the organization on the legal implications of transactions.
Requirements
- LLB / LLM from a recognized university.
- Enrolment with the Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in a law firm or legal practice.
- Prior experience in real estate law and working with real estate developers will be preferred.
- Strong expertise in litigation, documentation, and land due diligence.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of legal matters.
- Proficiency in drafting legal documents in English and Marathi.
