JOB DESCRIPTION – PROJECTION ENGINEERING (ELECTRICIAN)

Job Summary
Responsible for the installation, operation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and projection-related electrical equipment in the cinema. Ensure uninterrupted and safe operation of projection rooms and related technical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and maintain electrical systems associated with projection and cinema operations.
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults, short circuits, power supply issues, MCBs, DBs, cables, switches, and control panels.
- Ensure proper power supply to projectors, servers, amplifiers, UPS systems, and other projection equipment.
- Monitor electrical load, voltage, current, and power consumption.
- Assist the Projection Team in maintaining digital cinema projectors and related equipment.
- Perform routine inspection of projection rooms, electrical panels, cables, sockets, lighting, and emergency systems.
- Attend electrical breakdowns immediately to minimize show interruptions.
- Coordinate with vendors and external technicians for major electrical or technical issues.
- Maintain preventive maintenance checklists and breakdown records.
- Ensure proper earthing and electrical safety standards.
- Follow all safety procedures, including LOTO and PPE requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping of the projection room and electrical areas.
- Support other engineering and maintenance activities as required.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of electrical wiring, panels, MCBs, DBs, contactors, relays, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge of UPS, power backup systems, and stabilizers.
- Basic understanding of cinema projection systems and digital projectors is preferred.
- Ability to read basic electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to breakdowns.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Qualification & Experience
- Qualification: ITI / Diploma in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
- Experience: 1–3 years in electrical maintenance, preferably in a cinema, multiplex, hotel, mall, commercial building, or similar environment.
- Freshers with relevant ITI qualification may also be considered.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
