Talent Formula is a consulting firm that offers outsourced financial and accounting talent to Chartered Accounting firms worldwide. We are currently hiring for PKF Littlejohn, one of the UK's largest accounting firms. PKF LittleJohn is looking for a BRI Accountant/Administrator for their Advisory team.
The role will be responsible for supporting case management across the full lifecycle, from onboarding and new appointments to progression and closure. The position requires strong organizational skills, an understanding of insolvency processes, and the ability to work accurately within defined compliance.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Case Onboarding and Set Up
-
Conduct Anti-Money Laundering, Bribery, and Ethical checks.

Perform ID3 and KY6 searches as required (not limited to onboarding stage).

Prepare and circulate conflict checks.
-
Carry out Companies House searches and ensure all relevant documents are saved to Virtual Cabinet (director listing, shareholder listing, charge register, incorporation documents, last three sets of filed accounts).

Set up cases on IPS.

Complete and maintain Week 1 checklists.
New appointments

Preparing on appointment notices and statutory paperwork and completing checklists.
Directors Conduct Reporting

Supporting the UK based team in gathering information

Requesting directors to complete questionnaires re conduct
-
Requesting banks to supply statements and other information re the company’s banking facility
-
Obtaining the companies electronic records, securing the data and organising back ups
- Reviewing and analysing the information received
Case Progression and Closure

Manage the Distribution Checklist, including:
-
Issuing Notices of Intended Dividend to creditors.

Adjudicating claims (agreement or rejection).
-
Declaring and paying distributions.
-
Preparing and issuing creditor notifications.
-
Manage the Case Closure Checklist, including:
-
Coordinating completion of final corporation tax returns and payments.
-
Settling final fees and expenses.
-
Recovering VAT or preparing VAT assignments as required.
-
Arranging shareholder distributions in solvent liquidations.
-
Preparing proposed/final accounts (based on process type).
-
Completing Companies House filings.
-
Finalising IPS case closure diaries.
What skills will you need to be effective in this role?

Prior experience in insolvency administration or a related financial/administrative role is preferred.

Completion of the Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency is not required at the outset, but you will be expected to pursue this qualification after joining.

Strong work ethic with excellent organizational, multitasking, and attention-to-detail skills.

Good communication skills for effective and professional interaction with global colleagues and professionals.

Ability to follow rules and processes, and to implement established procedures consistently.

Capability to manage a case from initiation through to closure. Over time, this will progress into case ownership.

Willingness to train new joiners in due course, representing a gradual but steady career growth path.
