Position : HELPER
Job Responsibilities:
- Inspect the induction hardening equipment, cooling systems, and electrical connections before the start of the shift.
- Assist in loading and positioning heavy steel rolls onto the machine beds or mandrels using overhead cranes or forklifts.
- Verify that all safety guards, sensors, and interlocks are in the correct position.
- Monitor the machine during the induction heating cycle, keeping a close eye on power meters, cooling water temperatures, and coil positioning.
- Alert the main operator immediately if there are any irregularities, such as overheating, unusual noises, or coolant leaks.
- Assist in applying protective coatings or maskings to areas of the roll that do not require hardening.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of rolls, ensuring they are properly secured to prevent damage during the hardening process.
- Organize and stage raw materials in the correct sequence to maintain production flow.
- Assist maintenance technicians during routine inspections or repairs of the induction coils and power supply units.
- Keep the machine area clean and free of metal debris, oil, or water, which could pose a slip or fire hazard.
- Monitor the levels of quenching media and ensure the cooling water system is functioning correctly.
