Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, billing, GST compliance, vendor management, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate should have strong accounting knowledge, hands-on experience with statutory compliance, and the ability to manage financial transactions accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting and financial transactions.
- Prepare and maintain books of accounts, journal entries, and ledger postings.
- Generate customer invoices and manage the complete billing process.
- Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Manage vendor accounts, vendor payments, reconciliations, and credit vendor management.
- Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and other applicable returns).
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory regulations.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
- Coordinate payroll inputs with the HR department.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual MIS and financial reports.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors.
- Maintain proper accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Ensure timely payment of statutory dues and vendor invoices.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Accounting Principles and Financial Reporting.
- Hands-on experience in Billing & Invoicing.
- Experience in GST Filing and GST Reconciliation.
- Strong experience in Vendor Management and Credit Vendor Management.
- Knowledge of TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliance.
- Proficiency in Tally Prime/ERP, MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Formulas), and accounting software.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Manufacturing, Trading, or Service Industry.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple responsibilities.
- Experience with ERP systems is an added advantage.
