Job Brief

We are looking for a Factory Manager to lead our large-scale biscuit manufacturing unit in Hyderabad. In this role, you will oversee daily factory operations, drive production targets, maintain the highest quality standards, and build a safe and productive work environment.

Responsibilities
Production Management
- Plan and achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
- Ensure smooth operation of biscuit production lines.
- Reduce machine downtime and improve productivity.
- Monitor raw material usage and minimize wastage.
Quality Control
- Ensure all products meet FSSAI and food safety standards.
- Follow and maintain HACCP, ISO, and other quality systems.
- Manage product inspections and factory audits.
- Maintain consistent product quality, taste, texture, and packaging.
Team Leadership
- Lead supervisors, engineers, technicians, and production staff.
- Prepare shift schedules and manage workforce planning.
- Train employees on production processes and safety practices.
- Build a positive work culture and resolve employee concerns.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with the Factories Act and food safety regulations.
- Maintain high standards of workplace safety, hygiene, and sanitation.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and emergency drills.
Maintenance & Engineering
- Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Improve machine efficiency and maximize equipment uptime.
- Work with engineering teams to improve factory processes.
Inventory & Supply Chain
- Manage inventory of flour, sugar, fats, packaging materials, and other raw materials.
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams.
- Ensure proper storage, stock control, and material availability.
Cost & Performance
- Monitor production costs and factory budgets.
- Improve resource utilization and operational efficiency.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Prepare production reports, KPI dashboards, and compliance records for management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology, Food Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
- MBA in Operations is preferred.
Experience
- 1215+ years of experience in Food or FMCG manufacturing.
- Experience in Biscuit, Cookies, Chocolate, Candy, or Bakery manufacturing is highly preferred.
- Minimum 35 years of experience as a Factory Manager, Plant Head, Unit Head, or similar leadership role.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of production planning and factory operations.
- Good understanding of HACCP, ISO, FSSAI, and food safety standards.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to drive productivity, quality, and continuous improvement.
