Job Summary
The Assistant Manager – HR will be responsible for managing end-to-end talent acquisition and recruitment activities, ensuring timely hiring of suitable candidates across different departments and locations. The role involves sourcing, screening, interviewing, coordinating with hiring managers, and maintaining recruitment reports and databases.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment and talent acquisition processes.
- Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies through job portals, social media, employee referrals, consultants, colleges, and other channels.
- Screen and shortlist candidates based on job requirements and organizational needs.
- Coordinate and conduct initial interviews and arrange interviews with department heads/hiring managers.
- Manage candidate communication, interview scheduling, follow-ups, selection, and offer processes.
- Build and maintain a strong candidate pipeline for current and future requirements.
- Prepare and maintain recruitment MIS, trackers, hiring reports, and recruitment dashboards.
- Monitor recruitment metrics such as vacancies, sourcing, interviews, selection, joining, and time-to-fill.
- Coordinate with department heads to understand manpower requirements and finalize job descriptions.
- Conduct market research and identify new recruitment sources to improve hiring efficiency.
- Ensure proper documentation and smooth onboarding coordination for selected candidates.
- Handle recruitment-related queries and ensure a positive candidate experience.
- Employment Verification: Conduct and coordinate pre-employment verification, including previous employment checks, reference verification, and validation of candidate credentials to ensure accurate and reliable hiring decisions.
- Support HR initiatives related to employer branding, employee engagement, and talent development.
- Learning & Development: Coordinate induction, onboarding, and initial training programs for new joiners to ensure smooth integration, role clarity, and organizational alignment.
- HR Operations & Statutory Compliance: Manage day-to-day HR operations, employee records, attendance, leave, payroll coordination, and ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory requirements.
Requirements
- MBA/PG in Human resource management.
- 3–5 years of experience in Talent Acquisition / Recruitment, preferably with team-handling experience.
- Strong knowledge of end-to-end recruitment processes and sourcing techniques.
- Experience in using job portals such as Indeed, Naukri, LinkedIn, and other recruitment platforms.
- Good communication, negotiation, interpersonal, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Strong MS Excel and recruitment MIS/reporting skills.
- Ability to manage multiple vacancies and recruitment priorities simultaneously.
- Proactive approach with strong follow-up and coordination skills.
