Barista Job Description (JD)
A Barista is responsible for preparing and serving coffee, tea, and other beverages while providing excellent customer service in a café, coffee shop, restaurant, or hotel. The role also includes maintaining cleanliness, handling payments, and ensuring a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve coffee, espresso-based drinks, teas, and other beverages.
- Take customer orders and process payments.
- Recommend menu items and answer customer questions.
- Operate espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and POS systems.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and seating areas.
- Restock ingredients, cups, syrups, and other supplies.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures.
- Handle customer concerns professionally and courteously.
