Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Python Developer with strong AI/Agentic AI experience to work on a healthcare application that automates parts of the medical-record and claims review process.
The solution processes medical documents/images, extracts and enriches information using source-of-truth systems and APIs, and applies AI/agent-based reasoning against business rules and workflow logic. The final recommendation is presented to a human reviewer for validation, creating a Human-in-the-Loop AI workflow.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain Python-based AI/GenAI services and agent workflows.
Build agentic workflows using LangGraph and related LLM technologies.
Implement AI-driven reasoning against business rules, decision trees, and flowcharts.
Develop document/image processing and medical data extraction pipelines.
Integrate AI services with enterprise APIs and source-of-truth systems.
Design and develop scalable microservices and REST APIs.
Work within an Azure cloud environment, including Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO).
Integrate AI components with existing Java-based microservices and backend services.
Implement data persistence and interaction with databases.
Support the end-to-end workflow: Document → Extraction → Enrichment → AI Reasoning → Recommendation → Database → UI → Human Review.
Build reliable Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) mechanisms for reviewer agreement/disagreement with AI recommendations.
Collaborate with Java developers, AI/ML engineers, architects, QA, and healthcare-domain teams.
Write clean, maintainable, testable, and production-ready Python code.
Troubleshoot, optimize, and monitor AI-agent workflows and microservices.
Required Skills
Strong hands-on experience with Python development.
Strong understanding of Generative AI / Agentic AI concepts.
Hands-on experience with LangGraph or similar AI agent orchestration frameworks.
Experience working with LLMs, prompt engineering, tool/function calling, and structured outputs.
Experience building AI-powered workflows or decision-making systems.
Strong experience developing REST APIs and microservices.
Experience with Azure cloud services.
Knowledge of Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO) or OpenShift-based deployments.
Experience integrating applications with external/enterprise APIs.
Good understanding of databases and data persistence.
Experience with Docker/containerized applications and CI/CD.
Strong software engineering, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Good to Have
Healthcare/Health Insurance domain experience.
Experience with medical records, claims processing, clinical documentation, or utilization management.
Experience with OCR, document intelligence, medical document/image extraction, or NLP.
Experience with RAG, vector databases, embeddings, and semantic search.
Experience implementing Human-in-the-Loop AI systems.
Knowledge of Java/Spring Boot microservices.
Experience with Azure OpenAI or other enterprise LLM platforms.
Experience with observability, logging, and monitoring of AI applications.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a strong Python engineer who has moved beyond traditional backend development into Agentic AI/GenAI application development, with practical experience building LLM-powered workflows using LangGraph. Healthcare or health-insurance experience is highly desirable, particularly exposure to medical records or claims-processing workflows.
