JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer with 5–10 years of hands-on expertise in RCC and Steel structural design to join our growing team in Chennai.
The ideal candidate will independently lead structural analysis and design of reinforced concrete (RCC) and structural steel systems for large-scale civil and infrastructure projects, ensuring full compliance with Indian standards and client requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
──────────────────────────────
- Design and analyze RCC structures including beams, columns, slabs, footings, retaining walls and staircases as per IS codes
- Design structural steel elements including trusses, frames, purlins, bracings and connections
- Develop detailed structural drawings and bar bending schedules (BBS)
- Prepare Detailed Project Reports (DPR) and structural design reports
- Use structural analysis software (ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD Pro) for modelling and analysis
- Prepare AutoCAD / ZWCAD working drawings for construction
- Lead and review work of junior engineers
- Coordinate with architects, project managers and site engineers
- Ensure all designs comply with IS 456, IS 800, IS 1893 and other applicable Indian standards
- Support estimation and costing of structural works

REQUIREMENTS

✔ B.E / B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Structural Engineering preferred)
✔ 3–5 years of proven experience in RCC & Steel structural design
✔ Strong knowledge of RCC design as per IS 456:2000
✔ Strong knowledge of Steel structural design as per IS 800:2007
✔ Proficiency in ETABS, SAP2000 or STAAD Pro
✔ Proficiency in AutoCAD or ZWCAD for drawing preparation
✔ Experience handling multiple projects independently
✔ Knowledge of IS 1893 (Seismic design)
✔ Good leadership, communication and teamwork skills

PREFERRED SKILLS (ADDED ADVANTAGE)

- Experience in pre-engineered buildings (PEB) steel design
- Familiarity with foundation design (pile, raft, isolated)
- Knowledge of post-tensioned slab or prestressed concrete design
- M.E / M.Tech in Structural Engineering
- Prior experience in government / infrastructure projects
