Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled ELK Observability Developer with hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining observability solutions using the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Beats). The ideal candidate should have expertise in log management, monitoring, dashboard development, and troubleshooting distributed applications and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain observability solutions using the ELK Stack.
- Build and optimize Logstash pipelines for log ingestion and transformation.
- Configure and manage Beats (Filebeat, Metricbeat, Winlogbeat, Auditbeat, etc.) for data collection.
- Develop interactive Kibana dashboards, visualizations, and alerts.
- Monitor application and infrastructure health using Elastic Observability.
- Analyze logs, metrics, and traces to identify performance bottlenecks and root causes.
- Work closely with DevOps, SRE, and application teams to improve system reliability.
- Optimize Elasticsearch clusters for performance, scalability, and high availability.
- Implement index lifecycle management (ILM), snapshots, and backup strategies.
- Automate deployment and configuration using CI/CD pipelines.
- Create documentation and operational runbooks.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Elasticsearch
- Logstash
- Kibana
- Beats (Filebeat, Metricbeat, etc.)
- Experience with Elastic Observability (Logs, Metrics, APM, Uptime).
- Knowledge of Linux system administration.
- Experience with REST APIs and JSON.
- Understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture.
- Experience in log parsing using Grok patterns.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Shell scripting.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with OpenTelemetry.
- Exposure to Prometheus and Grafana.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ for log streaming.
- Understanding of security monitoring and SIEM concepts.
- Elastic Certified Engineer certification is an added advantage.
Good to Have
- Experience in enterprise-scale monitoring environments.
- Knowledge of SRE practices and incident management.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
