Job Title: Diamond Associate
Department: Production

Reporting To: Production Manager
Experience: 5–7 Years
Job Purpose
To perform diamond QC, verification, balancing, and quality control activities in accordance with company standards, ensuring accurate diamond allocation and inventory control throughout the jewellery manufacturing process
Key Responsibilities
1. Diamond Assorting
- Assort diamonds based on size, shape, color, clarity, and quality parameters.
- Segregate diamonds as per production requirements.
- Ensure accurate grading and classification of diamonds.
2. Diamond Verification & Balancing
- Perform diamond balance checking before and after production processes.
- Verify diamond quantity (PCS) and weight accuracy.
- Maintain records of issued and returned diamonds.
3. Quality Control
- Inspect diamonds for quality compliance.
- Identify damaged, chipped, or mismatched stones.
- Ensure diamonds meet company quality standards and customer specifications.
4. Inventory Management
- Maintain proper tracking of diamond stock.
- Coordinate with stores and production teams for issue and receipt of diamonds.
- Report discrepancies immediately to the Production Manager.
5. Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of:
- Diamond issue/return
- Assorting reports
- Balance reports
- Production consumption records
- Prepare daily and monthly reports as required.
6. Process Compliance
- Follow company SOPs for diamond handling and security.
- Ensure safe custody of diamonds during work hours.
- Adhere to inventory control and audit requirements.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Diamond Assorting.
- Knowledge of diamond shapes, sizes, color, and clarity grading.
- Understanding of I.G.I. standards and terminology.
- Ability to perform accurate PCS and weight calculations.
- Attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Basic record-keeping and reporting skills.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹26,000.00 per month
