Job Description:
Designation: Sr. Executive – Quantity Surveyor (Civil)
Experience: 6-8 years
Location: Navi Mumbai / Kandivali

Salary Range: ₹50,000 - ₹70,000 per month (CTC)
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Prepare a detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for civil works based on architectural and structural drawings.
- Conduct accurate quantity take-offs from drawings for all civil works, including RCC, masonry, plastering, flooring, waterproofing, and finishing.
- Perform rate analysis for civil items, including material, labour, and machinery components.
- Prepare tender documents, floating enquiries, and manage the bid process for civil contractors and vendors.
- Conduct techno-commercial evaluation and comparative statements for vendor/contractor selection.
- Assist in contract negotiations and preparation of work orders/contract agreements.
- Verify and certify contractor RA bills, sub-contractor bills, and vendor invoices as per actual measurements and contract terms.
- Carry out joint site measurements with contractors and consultants for accurate billing.
- Prepare client billing in line with the BOQ, contract conditions, and actual executed work.
- Evaluate and process variation orders, extra items, and deviation claims.
- Monitor project budgets, track cost variances, and provide regular cost reports.
- Maintain detailed records of measurements, reconciliations, and material consumption.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms, statutory requirements (GST, TDS), and audit standards.
- Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, architects, and consultants for seamless QS operations.
- Prepare final accounts, project closeout documentation, and assist in dispute resolution if required.
- Generate periodic MIS reports on billing, cost control, and project financials.
Key Skills & Requirements
- 6-8 years of relevant experience as a Quantity Surveyor in civil construction or PMC firms.
- Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, materials, and execution practices.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Project, and QS/billing software (e.g., Candy, CCS, ERP-based tools).
- Sound understanding of BOQ preparation, rate analysis, and contract documentation (FIDIC / IS standards).
- Familiarity with GST, TDS, and other statutory billing requirements.
- Strong analytical, measurement, and reconciliation skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and coordination abilities.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of cost control techniques, value engineering, and risk management is preferred.
