Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Design Engineer with experience in the water and wastewater treatment industry. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems for water treatment plants, pumping stations, desalination plants, and wastewater treatment facilities. The role requires strong knowledge of industrial power distribution, control systems, PLC panels, and compliance with relevant standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Electrical System Design
- Design LV/MV power distribution systems for water and wastewater treatment plants.
- Prepare single line diagrams (SLD), load schedules, cable sizing calculations, and voltage drop calculations.
- Design MCC, PCC, VFD panels, PLC panels, and control panels.
- HT/LT Motors, VFD’s UPS Battery, Battery charger, AC and DC distribution boards (DBs), and its Protection.
- Selection of transformers, switchgear, UPS, DG sets, motors, and instrumentation.
- HVAC, Cable carrier, Electrical layout design, Earthing and grounding systems, Lightning Pretection. Load calculation, load list, Load flow analysis, short circuit calculation (SCC).
2. Control & Automation
- Develop control philosophies for water treatment processes.
- Coordinate with PLC/SCADA engineers for automation integration.
- Design control wiring diagrams and interlock systems.
- Experience with PLC platforms
3. Engineering Documentation
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings using AutoCAD / EPLAN.
- Develop BOQ, technical specifications, and tender documents.
- Review vendor drawings and technical submittals.
- Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, NEC, and local electrical standards.
- HT/LT Power distribution system.
- Motor for pumps, blowers, mixtures agitators
- Soft Starters DC Systems
4. Site & Commissioning Support
- Provide technical support during installation and commissioning.
- Technical / Bid evaluation & Vender Clarifications.
- Conduct FAT and SAT for electrical panels and systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical and control issues at site.
- Coordinate with mechanical and process engineering teams.
5. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to electrical safety standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with HAZOP requirements.
- Maintain documentation for audits and regulatory approvals.
6. Review & Approve
· Single Line diagram (SLD)
· Electrical load list & Motor List
· Electrical calculation & Design Docs
· Ensure compliance with wet areas and corrosive environment requirements typical of water-related areas.
· Coordinate closely with the Instrumentation & Control (I&C), Process, and Mechanical disciplines

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- 3–8 years of experience in water/wastewater treatment projects.
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and control panels.
- Experience in power system calculations and protection coordination.
- Familiarity with SCADA systems and instrumentation.
- Knowledge of relevant international standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC).
Preferred Skills
- Experience in desalination (RO), STP, ETP, WTP projects.
- Knowledge of hazardous area classification (if applicable).
- Experience with energy optimization in water treatment plants.
- Project coordination and documentation skills.
· Fluent knowledge of AutoCAD and Office 365.

Work Environment

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
