A Project Manager in a construction company is responsible for the overall planning, execution, supervision, coordination, and successful completion of construction projects within the approved time, cost, quality, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning – Prepare project execution plans, work schedules, milestones, and construction programmes.
- Site Management – Oversee day-to-day construction activities and ensure work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, BOQ, and contract conditions.
- Team Management – Manage Site Engineers, Junior Engineers, Supervisors, Surveyors, Foremen, skilled workers, and labour teams.
- Work Progress Monitoring – Monitor daily and weekly progress against the project schedule and take corrective action wherever delays occur.
- Quality Control – Ensure construction work complies with approved specifications, drawings, quality standards, and applicable departmental requirements.
- Resource Management – Plan and coordinate manpower, construction materials, machinery, equipment, and other resources required at the site.
- Client & Department Coordination – Coordinate with the Client, Engineer-in-Charge, Consultants, Government Departments, Architects, and other stakeholders.
- Billing & Measurement – Coordinate preparation of measurements, RA Bills, material statements, quantity reconciliation, variation statements, and other billing documents.
- Cost Control – Monitor project expenditure, material consumption, labour costs, machinery costs, and overall project profitability.
- Safety Management – Ensure proper implementation of construction safety procedures, PPE requirements, site safety practices, and statutory requirements.
- Subcontractor Management – Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and labour contractors and monitor their performance.
- Technical Coordination – Review drawings, identify discrepancies, coordinate revisions, and resolve technical issues arising during execution.
- Material Management – Ensure timely procurement, inspection, storage, and utilization of construction materials.
- Documentation & Reporting – Maintain daily progress reports, site records, inspection reports, labour reports, material registers, machinery records, and project correspondence.
- Project Completion – Ensure timely completion, testing, rectification of defects, preparation of completion documents, and final handover of the project.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
