Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor the project's EHS management plan in line with client, statutory, and company requirements.
- Conduct daily site inspections, safety walks, and audits to identify hazards and unsafe practices.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable EHS laws, regulations, and standards (Factories Act, BOCW Act, Environmental Protection Act, etc.).
- Prepare and update Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA), and Method Statements for all site activities.
- Enforce the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety gear across the site.
- Conduct safety induction training for new workers, staff, contractors, and visitors.
- Organize regular Toolbox Talks (TBTs), safety trainings, and awareness programs.
- Monitor high-risk activities including working at heights, confined space entry, hot works, lifting operations, and electrical works.
- Issue and manage Work Permits (Height, Hot Work, Electrical, Confined Space, Excavation, etc.).
- Investigate incidents, near-misses, and accidents; prepare detailed reports with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Maintain EHS documentation including inspection reports, training records, incident logs, and statutory registers.
- Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure adherence to safety norms and site protocols.
- Conduct emergency preparedness drills including fire, evacuation, and first-aid response.
- Monitor housekeeping, waste management, and environmental controls at the site.
- Liaise with client EHS teams, government authorities, and third-party auditors during inspections and audits.
- Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, and management-level EHS MIS reports.
- Drive safety awareness campaigns, safety weeks, and behavior-based safety (BBS) programs.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and disposal of hazardous materials and chemicals.
Key Skills & Requirements
- Diploma / Degree in Engineering with ADIS (Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety) or PDIS from a recognized institute (mandatory).
- NEBOSH IGC / IOSH certification is highly preferred.
- 8-10 years of relevant EHS experience in high-rise commercial / infrastructure / high-end construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of Indian EHS legislation, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and OSHA standards.
- Hands-on experience in managing safety for RCC, PT slab, MEP, and façade works.
- Proficiency in incident investigation, risk assessment, and permit-to-work systems.
- Sound understanding of firefighting systems, first aid, and emergency response protocols.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and documentation.
- Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to enforce safety discipline on site.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced project environment.
Pay: ₹58,000.00 - ₹67,000.00 per month
